On Tuesday April 7, 2020 just after 3:00 p.m., the Prince Edward County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment received a report of a lawn tractor travelling on County Road 8 with several children in a trailer.
Officers located the lawn tractor and spoke with the driver.
Investigation revealed the driver was taking six children around the block in the trailer.
The driver was disqualified from driving under the Criminal Code.
A 65-year-old man from Picton has been charged with four counts of operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code.
The tractor was impounded for a period of seven days.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date in Picton.
