It’s time to stand proud again but with a difference. Leon’s Trenton is again promoting Operation Stand Proud but this year the effort will be social media-based and meant to be a tribute to essential workers who continue to work to serve the public during the coronavirus pandemic.
Starting today (Tuesday) Leon’s Trenton is asking people to flood the internet with shows of support for those who are putting themselves at risk to keep everyone safe and healthy.
It’s hoped people will take a picture, create art, or record a video showing support those workers and share them with the hashtag #Operation Stand Proud 3 on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook.
Last summer, Leon’s Trenton’s Operation Stand Proud set a Guinness World Record for the Largest Human Maple Leaf (3,942 people) at an event at Trenton’s Centennial Park.
