Belleville Police Service responded to 72 calls for service from April 6, 2020 at 5 a.m. to April 7, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Stolen Vehicles
On April 6, 2020, a north end car retailer reported the theft of two vehicles from their lot sometime during the first week of April. Stolen were a 2015 Ford Lariat F150 Grey in colour and a 2019 Ford Lariat F350 Black in colour. Neither vehicle was plated. Arrest on warrants
On April 6, 2020 at 6:23 p.m., police were called to a residence in the city’s west end in relation to a disturbance. Upon arrival police located a 34-year-old Prince Edward County male who had two outstanding arrest warrants for breaching his probation. The male was also found to be in contravention of an undertaking that he was released on, a recognizance that he was released on, as well as his probation. The male was arrested and is being held in custody for a bail hearing on April 7 on the two breach of probation charges stemming from the arrest warrants plus additional charges that include breach of a recognizance, breach of an undertaking and two more charges of breaching his probation.
On April 6, 2020 at approximately 6:30 p.m., police attended The Quinte Regional Detention Centre in Napanee with regards to a male who was being released from their facility but had outstanding arrest warrants that were being held by Belleville Police. Forty-two-year-old Kingston resident William Dagnall was arrested on the outstanding warrants, taken to The Belleville Police Service where he was later released on an undertaking with a July 2 court date. His charges include four counts each of obtaining property by false pretences under $5000 and fraud under $5000.
