The Belleville Police Service responded to 60 calls for service between 5 a.m. on April 4, 2020 and 5 a.m. on April 5, 2020.
Motor Vehicle Collision
Saturday evening around 6:30 p.m., officers attended an accident involving three vehicles at the intersection of Pinnacle Street and Victoria Avenue. Officers received information that there was a line of cars northbound on Pinnacle Street. They were stopping for a vehicle turning left. One of the vehicles did not stop and struck a second vehicle, the second vehicle then struck a third vehicle. A Picton area man in his 40s who was driving the car that did not stop in time was charged with following too close.
Breach of Undertaking
Late Saturday night at 11:45 p.m., officers on Pine Street were investigating a vehicle with the wrong plates. A man was reportedly seen exiting a house near the vehicle. An officer recognized the man who was on release conditions and completed a record check. As a result, officers learned that the man was on an undertaking and on probation. Cole Robinson, a 27-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with two counts of breach of release conditions, and one count of breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 11.
