Doctors in Prince Edward County are asking those with a second property in The County to think twice before coming.
In a letter this week by Physicians of Prince Edward County, they are requesting that those with a second home in Prince Edward County to stay away for now.
They are asking them to consider the fact that The County has limited medical resources and an influx of people could put a strain on the system.
They add that Prince Edward Memorial Hospital has just 18 beds and a small pool of doctors for it.
Those same doctors run their own practices, the emergency room, long-term care beds, and in-patient beds.
The hospital has no ICU and only two ventilators as well, and with COVID-19 putting a strain on the system, they want visitors to think twice, until the pandemic is over.
