Ontario has reached a tentative contract agreement with the province’s French-language teachers.
Word of the deal came Tuesday afternoon, the same day the Canadian Press learned details of the deal recently reached with public elementary teachers.
Under the terms of that tentative contract, teachers will receive a one-per-cent salary increase as the government hoped, but boosts to benefits more in line with what their union was seeking.
Details of the deal with the French teachers were not immediately available.
