Premier Doug Ford is extending the state of emergency over the COVID-19 pandemic for at least another two weeks.
The state of emergency first imposed on March 17 was due to expire tomorrow but Ford says it is being extended and will be reevaluated every two weeks.
He says medical supply lines will be “seriously challenged” if there is a massive surge of people into hospitals in the next two weeks.
Ford says the province is prepared to take additional action to halt the spread of the virus in the coming days but provided no further specifics.
