It’s another day with a new lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
The most recent case was confirmed by HPE Public Health Monday and the transmission of the virus is classified as “pending”.
The health unit has also started issuing numbers of probable cases in the area.
Those include anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 and has travelled out of the country, has had close contact with someone who is confirmed or probable to have the virus, or has had contact with anyone who has travelled in the last 14 days and has an acute respiratory illness.
As of 2:00 p.m. Tuesday there are 234 probable cases in the area, which is 15 more than listed on Monday.
The health unit is continuing to update its COVID-19 website daily.
