Quinte West firefighters, OPP and paramedics were called to King Fisher Cove on Sunday afternoon about a person in distress in the Bay of Quinte about 300 metres from shore.
Quinte West OPP have now charged the 38-year-old man who was pulled from the water with impaired operation.

He will appear in Belleville court on April 23 and his driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
