As of 1 p.m. today, the Township of Stirling-Rawdon has declared a state of emergency.
Mayor Bob Mullin says the declaration was made in support of the state of emergency declaration made last week by Hastings County.
Mullin says the state of emergency will help protect the health, safety, well-being and property of residents.
The state of emergency is in effect immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.
