The province reported 211 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 1,335.
It was the biggest one-day spike in cases yet.
Ontario also reported that two more people died from the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 23.
But health officials note that two of the deceased are not confirmed to have had the virus.
Rather, their cases are linked to an outbreak at a nursing home in Bobcaygeon.
The number of fully resolved cases remains at eight.
