Charges are pending after a police chase in Belleville Wednesday night.
Around 6:30 p.m., officers attempted to stop a vehicle, which fled from police.
The vehicle is described as a blue Volkswagen Beetle.
An officer turned on his lights and siren attempting to stop the driver, who took off on Cannifton Road, over the 401 and drove as fast at 120 km/h at times.
Officers stopped pursuit for public safety.
Around 7:00 p.m., officers located the vehicle in a parking lot, still with the lights on.
The suspect driver has been identified, and more details are to come.
