Capital projects in the City of Belleville are still moving ahead despite COVID-19 restrictions.
The city released a statement today noting changes have been made to enable important capital projects to continue such as the Bell Blvd. widening project.
Construction began on Monday with a field office established for project managers and inspectors to work remotely on-site.
The Sagonaska Bridge rehabilitation project (on Pinnacle Street) is underway and lane reductions will soon begin.
The Moira Street West watermain replacement will also begin with work taking place between Yeomans Street and Howard Street.
A contract to repair the arches on the Bridge Street Bridge (lower bridge) will be released in the coming weeks and a construction tender for the Avondale Road reconstruction project has been issued.
