We have an update on the temporary foreign worker program in Canada.
On Wednesday we told you that due to the COVID-19 outbreak, no one in the program would be allowed into the country, including the many dozen who help locally in agriculture. CLICK HERE for that story.
Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith is also the Ontario Minister of Immigration.
He tells Quinte News they have received some good news.
Smith says the quarantine will take place in Canada.
He says local agriculture employers will need to help find ways for the workers to get into Canada.
Smith was also quick to praise the strong federal-provincial work on the file.
