As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, Hastings County is continuing to take action to safeguard the health and well-being of its staff, clients and the public, while continuing to ensure access to essential/critical County Services.
Hastings County has not declared a state of emergency, however, the Emergency Control Group continues to meet regularly to provide a coordinated effort and response. In order to slow the community spread of the COVID-19 virus, as of 8:30 a.m. Monday. March 23, 2020, the County Administration Building (235 Pinnacle Street, Belleville) will be closed to the public until further notice except for the Community & Human Services Department at the Church Street entrance or by pre-booked appointment only.
Community and Human Services will remain open for those individuals who visit the office due to an emergency situation. All other clients are encouraged to call their caseworker or property supervisor directly via telephone.

Staff continue to work, however, they ask the public to use alternative means of payment and communication until further notice. County staff are available via phone (613-966-1311 or 1-866-267-0575) during office hours (8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday).
In emergency or extraordinary cases, in-person business may be conducted by appointment. Drop boxes are available at the 228 Church Street entrance to the County Administration Building for any applications, documents and for County Services including Provincial Offences (POA)and Community and Human Services.
Planning and Development applications will continue to be received by mail or can be submitted electronically to westerhofl@hastingscounty.com. Please note any documents mailed or dropped off will not be handled for a minimum of two days.
Visitation to the County’s two Long Term Care Homes, Hastings Manor Belleville and Hastings, and Centennial Manor Bancroft, continues to be restricted to essential visitors only. By Ministry of Health directive only people visiting residents who are very ill or requiring end-of-life care are permitted to enter the homes.
All staff continue to be screened upon entering the home.
