The provincial government has released its Sunshine List, the list of public sector workers earning over $100,000 last year (2019).
A total of 151,197 people made the list with Ontario Power Generation’s President and CEO Jeffrey Lyash taking home the biggest paycheque at almost $1.75 million.
Here are a few local Sunshine List leaders. At the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board, 190 employees made $100,000 or more. Leading the way was the former Director of Education Mandy Savery-Whiteway who made $225,109.
With the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, Director of Education Jody Dirocco was paid $272,880.00.
That school board had 138 people on the Sunshine List.
At Loyalist College there were 103 people on the list, with President and CEO Ann Marie Vaughan at the top of the salary grid earning $258,343.
At Quinte Health Care Corporation, President and CEO Mary Clare Egberts made $374,073 topping the list which included 106 names.
At the Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centre, Family Physician Chanse Holder held first place on the list of six employees earning $100,000 or more with paycheques totalling $260,758.
