After moving to Stirling-Rawdon four years ago, one couple was quite disappointed there was no local farmer’s market.
Now, after waiting for someone else to take the initiative, Jessica Rogers of Creekside Yoga is stepping up to the plate.
Rogers addressed Stirling-Rawdon council on Monday evening asking for their support in starting a farmer’s market at the covered bridge in the downtown.
She says the response was a positive one and she is now in the process of building a vendors list and creating some buzz in the community.
Rogers is hoping the market will be open the first Friday in June and open weekly going to at least Labour Day weekend with the hopes of extending the market until Thanksgiving.
