A complete outdoor burn ban is now in place in the City of Quinte West.
Dry and windy conditions have made outdoor burning dangerous at this time.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Quinte West fire department had to deal with a fairly large grass fire at 812 Will Johnson Road north of Stockdale.
Fire Chief John Whalen said the fire burned about three acres of grass starting around 5 p.m.
Frankford and North Murray fire crews responded and used ATVs and 4-wheel drive trucks to save a house and barn from going up in flames.
Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours.
