The Township of Tyendinaga continues to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as issued by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Municipal Staff have been in constant engagement with emergency service authorities during this unprecedented event impacting our community.
Council has also met with staff to ensure them that their safety and the overall well-being of the community are of the utmost importance.
The Township Staff and Council fully support the social distancing, and sanitization exercises that are being promoted by our local Health Care experts.
The Municipal Office will be closed to the public as of March 19, 2020 until further notice. Municipal staff will still be onsite and essential Government services will continue to operate, including the Roads and Fire Departments.
For emergency situations where a visit to the office is critical,we would ask that any member of the public please contact the office in advance at 613-396-1944.
Municipal Property Taxes, Fire Permits and Dog Tags
We will be extending the deadline for the first installment of taxes from March 31st to April 14th.We encourage residents to make tax payments online or through telephone banking where available. Residents can also drop off a cheque, with directions for payment, in the mail slot at the front of the of municipal office.
Fire Permits and Dog Tags-We can process requests that are submitted to us with payment, by cheque as well as providing us with your full name, address, phone number and email (if applicable). These requests can be made by submitting packages through the mail slot at the front of the Municipal Office Staff will continue to respond to calls, emails and to carry on the business of the Municipality to the best of their ability.
Tyendinaga Township Buildings and Facilities
All gatherings including Council Meetings and hall rentals at Township facilities will be postponed until further notice due to the concerns associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to the Municipal website and social media channels.
