The Township of Stirling-Rawdon continues to monitor the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as issued by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The Township of Stirling-Rawdon wishes to release the following information to the community:
Township of Stirling-Rawdon Meetings:
All scheduled Meetings have been cancelled until April 5th, 2020 due to the increasing concerns associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. April 6th, 2020 Council meeting will continue as scheduled, however please continue to monitor our website for further updates. During this time of heightened concern, at the Township of Stirling-Rawdon we:
•Are increasing the frequency of disinfecting in all of our common spaces;
•Are attempting to increase access to hand sanitizers; and
•Will continue to communicate with the community as new information becomes available or as new requirements become necessary.
•Any staff that have travel, are self-isolate for 14 days at this time and, we are also asking the public who have travel to follow the Hastings Prince Edward Health Unit guidelines https://hpepublichealth.ca/the-novel-coronavirus-2019ncov
Township of Stirling-Rawdon Buildings and Facilities
All non-essential gatherings at Township of Stirling-Rawdon facilities will be postponed until further notice due to the increasing concerns associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. The Stirling-Rawdon and District Recreation Centre will be close effective March 15th, 2020 until and including April 5th, 2020. During this time, you can contact the Arena Staff by phone at 613-395-5000. The Stirling-Rawdon Public Library is closed until and including April 6th, 2020. During this time,you can contact the Library by phone at 613-395-2837.
Township of Stirling-Rawdon Municipal Office
The Municipal office will remain open for normal business hours; however, no public entry passed the front lobby and staff will not open the front reception window. We will deal with the public thru the glass and we have encouraged staff to stay calm and continue with infection control practices such as frequent hand washing, coughing into sleeve, and remaining at home if feeling unwell.Cleaning supplies have been provided to staff for cleaning their personal workspace and there will be no entry beyond the front foyer by the public and/or contractors during this time.
