In order to ensure a safe and secure qenvironment for residents, H.J. McFarland Memorial Home is only allowing essential visitors into the facility.
Home administration is following a recommendation from Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health aimed at protecting vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Essential visitors are those who have a resident who is dying or very ill.
- These visitors will continue to be actively screened before entering H.J. McFarland Memorial Home and will not be allowed to enter if they are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
- The safety and well-being of the residents and staff remain the top priority of H.J. McFarland Memorial Home. Home administration will reevaluate this measure in the coming weeks.
