The City of Quinte West is taking precautions against any possible spread of the coronavirus. The following is a press release outlining what those are.
-
The presentation, delegation, and public input sections of the council agenda will be suspended for March and April. This includes the Volunteer Excellence Awards ceremony scheduled for March 16, 2020.
-
The Council meeting scheduled for April 6, 2020, has been cancelled.
-
The City has increased cleaning frequency and sanitizing practices at Municipal buildings.
The City encourages individuals to watch Council Meetings on our live stream, rather than attending in person. The link can be found here: http://bit.ly/LiveQWCouncil.
If a resident would like to submit public input regarding items on the Council Agenda, they can be sent in writing to the City Clerk, kevinh@quintewest.ca.
“We’re taking the necessary steps to keep staff and residents safe,” says Quinte West Mayor, Jim Harrison. “Keep washing your hands, coughing into your elbow, and stay home if you’re sick.”
The city will continue to provide updates as they become available.
