Syrup lovers will be heading to Warkworth this weekend for the annual Warkworth Maple Syrup Festival.
There will be plenty of activities happening in the village and out at Sandy Flat Sugar Bush, staff tell Quinte News sap has been running since the end of February and they expect to be boiling and tapping all weekend long.
While the weather has been great, syrup producers are hoping it doesn’t get much warmer than it is just yet, as current conditions are perfect for what they’re doing.
