7:15 A.M. UPDATE: ENBRIDGE GAS REPAIRING FAULTY VALVE, ROAD IS OPEN
The Quinte West Fire Department and OPP have closed a small section of the Trenton-Frankford Road in Glen Miller near the Sonoco paper mill as they investigate a gas leak.
Crews were called out around 6:30 this (Thursday) morning to the area after calls about the strong smell of gas.
High levels of a gas were located near a pumping station and the road was shut down shortly after. Some of the Sonoco employees evacuated their work area.
