Prospects for new hiring locally are better than those on a national scale.
That is according to Manpower Group, the third-largest staffing firm in the world.
According Manpower’s latest Employment Outlook Survey a quarter (27%) of local employers responding said they’d be hiring in the months of April, May or June.
The remaining employers reported keeping their staffing at current levels.
Meanwhile, nationally, only 14% of employers responding planned on hiring in the second quarter of the year while 3 % expect cutbacks.
