The Trenton Golden Hawks could not seal the deal Friday night in their Ontario Junior Hockey League first round series with the Whitby Fury.
The G-Hawks lost 5-3 on the road in their first attempt to close out the series, but still lead the Fury 3-1.
Trenton fired 62 shots on Whitby netminder Curtis MacKenzie who stole the show making 59 saves to force a game five. Cameron Gaylor, Kyle Robinson and Adam Kim were the only Hawks to score in the contest, while Anand Oberoi allowed four goals on 29 shots in net for his first postseason loss.
The Golden Hawks will have a second opportunity to close out the best-of-seven series Saturday afternoon in Trenton at 5:30 p.m.
The winner of this series will take on the Wellington Dukes in the second round of the Buckland Cup playoffs.
