There was a house fire Friday afternoon in the County around 1 p.m.
Prince Edward County fire chief Scott Manlow says there is significant damage to the second floor and roof as well as smoke and water damage to the main floor of the house.
Crews from Stations 5, 8 and 9 were called to 1000 Salem Road, outside Ameliasburg to fight the flames.
Manlow adds that the fire originated in the kitchen counter area.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is not available.
