Downtown Belleville is going to be a busy place this weekend. Documentary lovers will be out in droves enjoying the 9th annual Belleville Downtown Docfest.
This year’s festival features over 50 films, some of them local, and starts at noon tomorrow (Friday).
Docfest will officially get underway with its Opening Gala at the Empire Theatre tomorrow evening.
The feature film at the gala will be Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band. Live music after that film will be provided by LeBarons.
Documentaries will be shown at five venues over the weekend. The Empire, the Core Centre, Belleville Public Library, Pinnacle Playhouse, and Bridge Street United Church.
