The Belleville Police Service responded to 63 calls for service between March 3, 2020 at 5 a.m. and March 4, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Damage to business
On March 3, 2020, at 7:35 a.m., police attended a Pinnacle Street business north of Victoria Avenue regarding damage to a window. Unknown suspect(s) kicked out a large portion of the glass at the front of the building. Police do not believe the business was entered. Driver charged with careless driving
On March 3, 2020, at 7:20 a.m., police attended a motor vehicle that had gone into a ditch on Shannon Road. The driver had lost control of the vehicle leaving the roadway and landing in the ditch. There were no injuries, however, there was significant damage to the vehicle. A 33-year-old Belleville female was charged with careless driving.
Impaired driver
On March 3, 2020 at 11:20 p.m., Belleville Police were called to the area of Farnham and Maitland regarding a vehicle that had rolled. On arrival, officers observed that the single occupant was outside the vehicle. Officers made observations that the female driver had been consuming alcohol, and she provided a breath sample at roadside which she failed. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and over 80mgs. A 39 year old woman from Frankford was charged and later released with a court date of March 26, 2020.
