The Belleville Police Service responded to 80 calls for service from February 21, 2020 at 5 a.m. to February 22, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On February 22, 2020 at approximately 1:25 a.m., police officers attended a north end location for reports of several disturbances and a motor vehicle that struck the side of a building. The vehicle fled the scene of the collision but was located shortly after by officers.
One woman occupant was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place as she was severely intoxicated due to the consumption of alcoholic beverage. The 22-year-old female from Deseronto was later released on a Part I Offence Notice.
Another woman was taken to Belleville General Hospital for minor injuries relating to the disturbance prior to the motor vehicle collision. Police quickly ascertained that the second female had warrants for her arrest stemming from a mischief incident and a failure to attend court. Twenty-five-year-old Rebecka McMillan from Selby was released at Belleville General Hospital with a first court appearance of March 12, 2020. The investigation into the motor vehicle collision is ongoing at this time. Warrants
On February 21, 2020 at approximately 10:19 p.m., police attended a west end residence for a loud party. While speaking with the occupants of the residence, police identified an attendee and were advised of outstanding warrants stemming from a domestic related incident. As a result, a 31-year-old Belleville man was arrested on the outstanding warrants and was later released with a first appearance of March 9, 2020.
