The annual Empty Bowls Empty Glasses fundraiser goes Saturday at Loyalist College in Belleville, with a goal of raising funds and bringing awareness to hunger in our community.
Sarah Kring is with the Tri-County Warehouse and Gleaners Food Bank and talks about the event.
Kring says this is the ninth annual event in the Quinte region.
There are going to be close to 200 bowls up for sale.
Small bowls are $25, large bowls $40.
The event inclues soup tasting, a vendor market place, and an alcohol flight tasting available from Meyers Creek Brewery from Belleville, Kings Mills Cider from Stirling-Rawdon, and Sandbanks Estate Winery from The County.
