A small group is making a big difference for some young people in Prince Edward County.
Last week at the ROC Youth Centre in Picton RBC presented a $15,000 cheque to the Prince Edward County Youth Centre.
The money will be earmarked for what’s known as County Care Kits. The kits are distributed to young people who apply and contain education, hygiene, and winter supplies as well as basic information such as food bank hours and transit schedules.
The Care Kits concept came from local youth and 62 of the customized kits have already been distributed with goal being 100.
