Belleville Police Service responded to 40 calls for service from February 16, 2020 at 5 a.m. to February 17, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Driver charged with no insurance
On February 16, 2020 at 8:45 p.m., police observed a driver at Station Street and Farley Avenue fail to stop for the stop sign at the intersection. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was identified. Police then learned that the driver was operating her vehicle without insurance. Sandra Forcier, 49, of Belleville was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance, and failing to stop for a stop sign. She was issued a summons to appear in court on March 2.
Man arrested on warrants
On February 16, 2020 at 10:50 p.m., Belleville Police checked a suspicious vehicle on Brown Street. Police recognized one of the occupants as a male wanted by Quinte West OPP. Steve Sullivan, 34, of Belleville, was arrested and turned over to the OPP where he was held for bail.
