Northumberland OPP have charged two people in relation to an accident on the 401 in August near Port Hope.
Police have charged 21-year-old Navtej Singh Sidhu of Brampton with three counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm and 23-year-old Gavin Goode of Pefferlaw with two counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm.
On August 22 around 9 a.m. there was a collision on the 401 eastbound near Hamilton Road east of Port Hope involving two tractor trailers and three other vehicles.
Six people were taken by ambulance to hospital and a 55-year-old woman from Cobourg was transported by air ambulance to Toronto with life altering injuries.
Both were released and will appear in court next month.
