Brighton figure skater Trennt Michaud and his partner Evelyn Walsh of London have been named to Canada’s World Figure Skating team.
Michaud and Walsh have just returned from Korea where they placed 6th in pairs skating at the 4 Continents competition.
This year the World Figure Skating championships will be held in Montreal next month.
Michaud is now affiliated with the Trenton Figure Skating Club.
Speed Skating
Five y0uth skaters from the Quinte Blades Speed Skating Club competed at the final Provincial East meet of the season in Brockville.
9 year old Kevin Hoffman placed 1st in the 200 metre distance, 2nd in the 400 metre with a new personal best, and a 4th place finish in the 600 metre to take top spot on the podium.
13 year old Brian Hoffman had five solid races with a 5 second personal best in the 1000 metre event.
