It might be Valentines Day but it’s unlikely there will be any love lost as the Belleville Senators and Toronto Marlies kick off a home-at-home weekend tonight.
The B-Sens and Marlies meet for the third time in ten days at CAA Arena.
The Senators have won 7 in a row and lead the AHL’s Eastern Conference. The Marlies hold down the final playoff berth in the North. They’re 15 points behind Belleville.
Yesterday the Toronto Maple Leafs put goaltender Michael Hutchinson on waivers. There’s a chance he could be in the Marlies lineup tonight.
Game time is 7:05 at the CAA Arena. There are tickets available.
CJBQ’s play by play coverage for Eastern Overhead Doors and Deerhaven Farm and Garden begins at 6:50.
The B-Sens are at Toronto tomorrow afternoon at 4. CJBQ’s broadcast begins at 3:50 from Coca Cola Coliseum.
Dukes and Golden Hawks at home tonight
With just over one week left in the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s regular season first place is still up for grabs in the Eastern Conference. And it’s between the two Quinte based teams.
The Wellington Dukes lead the Trenton Golden Hawks by one point with one game in hand. The Dukes have four games left and host the Toronto Junior Canadiens tonight.
The Golden Hawks have 3 games left, all at home including tonight against Whitby. Both games are at 7:30.
