Despite negotiations and formal warnings of police action, the CN rail blockade in Tyendinaga not only continues but has expanded.
Yesterday (Wednesday) after being told by the Tyendinaga Police Chief that the OPP would be enforcing a court injunction ordering the tracks be cleared, the protesters created a second blockade at the CN crossing on Highway 49.
A school bus was parked very near the tracks there and fires were lit.
The Wyman Road blockade continues and features a dump truck with plow.
Meanwhile VIA Rail has cancelled all passenger trains through the region until the end of tomorrow (Friday).
