A dozen potential investors had a close look at Belleville’s downtown core recently as part of the Downtown BIA’s effort to attract more businesses to the city centre.
Over the course of the four hour District Spaces event on the weekend, buyers interested in property or business opportunities had the chance to tour eight locations on Front Street that are available for sale or lease.
Downtown BIA media and marketing officer Kelsey Moniz tells Quinte News the idea is to have the event every three months to highlight the available spaces in the downtown.
In a statement, Lee Rennick of Six Trends, a Toronto company, indicated touring the locations was an organized way to see the various opportunities to expand the business into downtown Belleville.
Also, Kim Fedor of Buhran Developments Inc., an owner of property in the downtown, says, “District Spaces brought qualified leads to us. It was a genuine match of business owners seeking space and landlords showing available space.”
The next District Spaces event taking place in May.
