Three inmates will appear in court for their role in the assault of a corrections officer at Warkworth Institution last month.
Northumberland OPP report on January 16, they were notified of an assault at the medium-security prison.
Norman Tynes, 49 and Fabricio Calderon, 44, are facing obstructing a peace officer charge.
Taylor-Bailey Dexter, 28, is facing charges of assaulting a peace officer causing bodily harm and resisting a peace officer.
The investigation by the OPP Crime Unit was in conjunction with Correctional Services of Canada.
