An upcoming open house in Prince Edward County aims to provide a wealth of information for residents to help them prepare for high water levels this spring.
The open house will be held at the Wellington and District Community Centre on February 19 at 6 p.m.
Several agencies including Quinte Conservation Authority, County Fire Prevention, Hastings Prince Edward Public Health will be on hand to answer questions and to share information about flood preparation.
Keynote speakers include Sarah Delicate from United Shoreline Ontario. The event will be livestreamed on the County’s Facebook page.
Mayor Steve Ferguson says they want to be proactive and provide people with information and resources so as a community they can be ready in advance of the water levels rising on Lake Ontario this spring.
