The race to the finish line continues in the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
Both the Wellington Dukes and Trenton Golden Hawks kicked off the weekend with wins.
It was the Golden Hawks on the road in Lindsay Friday night with a 4-2 win.
Wyatt George paced the offence with two goals while Adam Kim and Colin Van Den Hurk each added goal and Sam Duchesne picked up two assists.
In goal, Oliver Troop made 25 saves on 27 shots for the win.
Trenton will be back in action Saturday afternoon at home against the Markham Royals. The game will be broadcast nationally on CHCH TV. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m.
In the County, it was the Wellington Dukes picking up a 5-3 win to keep pace with the Hawks atop the east division.
Frank Vitucci ripped home two goals for Wellington. Dylan Massie, Justin Paul and Brodie McDougall also scored for the Dukes to lift them past the St. Michaels Buzzers.
Matt Dunsmoor was solid in net making 27 saves on 30 shots.
Wellington is also back in action Saturday with a tough road game against the league leading Oakville Blades.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
Trenton holds a one point division lead over Wellington. However the Dukes have two games in hand.
Trenton has four regular season games remaining while the Dukes have six.
The division may come down to Friday, Feb. 21. That’s the final Battle of Quinte before the playoffs get underway.
