Belleville Police Service responded to 51 calls for service from February 6, 2020 at 5 a.m. to February 7, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Collision, Drugs, Breach of Probation
On February 6, 2020 at 2:15 p.m., city police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Moira St. West near Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd. Upon investigation, it was found that the driver was under suspension and police located an undisclosed amount of drugs, drug paraphernalia and open liquor in the vehicle.
The 34-year-old male driver was arrested and charged for Driving Under Suspension, Careless Driving, Liquor Readily Available to the Driver, Cannabis Readily Available to the Driver, Possession of Drugs for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Probation. City police also impounded the accused vehicle for seven days.
A 33-year-old female passenger was also arrested and charged with Possession of Drugs for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Probation.
Both parties were held in custody and are scheduled to appear for a Show Cause Hearing on February 7, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Belleville Ontario Court of Justice.
Drugs, Breach of Probation
On February 6, 2020 at approximately 6 p.m., Belleville Police attended outside the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse in regards to a female who was breaching her probation. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the accused was also found to be in possession of heroin & fentanyl. Twenty-eight-year-old, Jaquelin Bloor of Belleville was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, Fail to Appear in Court, and Breach of Probation. The accused was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Belleville Ontario Court of Justice on March 5, 2020.
