The possibility of a renewable energy project in Marmora and Lake is still being discussed…but not moving ahead yet.
The project, operated by Northland Power, proposes to create and store energy at the old Marmora mine property.
It’s different from other energy projects for two reasons: one is the reliability of water over solar and wind, the other is storing power can help lower the cost of electricity.
MPP for Hasting Lennox and Addington MPP Daryl Kramp tells Quinte News he’s working on a number of levels.
Kramp says he’ll be meeting soon with other parties who are preparing a proposal for serious consideration.
