A Greater Napanee woman is facing drug and Highway Traffic Act charges according to the OPP.
Officers from the Lennox and Addington detachment noticed a vehicle didn’t properly display number plates and conducted a traffic stop on Friday, January 31 on Water Street.
An investigation revealed that the 40-year-old driver of the vehicle was currently suspended and that a plate affixed to the vehicle was not authorized for use on the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest and while being searched was found to be in possession of a component from a conducted energy weapon and in possession of prescription medications not prescribed to her.
Crystal Lynn Laraby is charged with possession of a prohibited device, possession of a prohibited device contrary to a prohibition order, two counts breach of a recognizance, possession of a controlled substance and driving while under suspension.
Laraby will appear in Napanee court later this month.
