A 39-year-old Quinte West resident has been arrested following a weapons investigation in the city.
Quinte West OPP along with Canada Border Services Agency began the investigation on January 22 and on January 24 executed a search warrant at a Morningstar Road home.
Officers seized several firearms including a revolver, two replica handguns, a taser, two collapsible batons and a knife.
Andrew Graham Kanellos of Quinte West was arrested at the scene and is facing charges of:
- Unauthorized Possession of Weapon – Three Counts
- Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Importing a Firearm, Prohibited Device, Restricted Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition knowing it was Unauthorized
He was released and will appear in Belleville court on February 27.
