On December 31, 2019 shortly before 2:30 p.m., officers from the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received the report of an alarm at a school in the Town of Bancroft. Officers attended the school and found that it had been forcibly entered. One person was located in the building and was arrested.
Lisa Phillips, 31 years of age from the Municipality of Highlands East has been charged with:
- Break and enter
- Obstruct peace officer
- Possession of break and enter tools
- Theft over $5000
- Mischief under $5000 – two counts
- Theft under $5000 – two counts
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on February 18, 2020.
