It’s where the rubber hits the road in a hospital. The Inpatient Unit cares for all kinds of people and illnesses who will be on a prolonged stay in hospital.
At Tuesday’s meeting of the Quinte Health Care Board of Directors at Trenton Memorial Hospital the hospital’s Inpatient Unit was recognized for its hard work and dedication.
A daughter of a long-term patient at TMH had nothing but praise for the Inpatient Unit for their caring, compassionate, and professional care.
Her mother suffers from dementia.
She went on to say that the nurses and Personal Support Workers on the unit treated her mother like a member of the family and provided valuable information to others involved.
TMH’s Inpatient Unit received the Values in Action Award from the Board of Directors.
