Donations from people parking in downtown Trenton during December will help hundreds of children receive nutritious breakfasts and snacks to start their school days.
Today (Tuesday) Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison and others presented a cheque for just over $8,000 in parking meter revenue to Food for Learning Hastings and Prince Edward.
When sponsor and other donations were included, the total raised in Quinte West was just over $11,500.
Monday, a donation of $2,600 in parking meter revenue collected in downtown Picton was donated to Food for Learning.
