It took the Wellington Dukes a period to get going but once they did there was no stopping them.
Wellington rallied from a 2-0 first period deficit to knock off the visiting Lindsay Muskies 5-2.
Dylan Massie led the comeback with two goals and an assist. Daniel Panetta and Dawson Ellis scored a goal and assist with Jake Gagnon adding the other. Matthew Dunsmoor stopped 19 shots.
The Dukes move 5 points behind the OJHL East Division leading Trenton Golden Hawks with 4 games in hand. Wellington is home to Aurora Thursday night.
In the Provincial Junior “C” Hockey League the Picton Pirates beat the Amherstview Jets 3-1 to move into a second place tie with them in the East Tod Division. Nate Boomhower scored the winner.
The Pirates are home to Clarington tomorrow (Tues) night.
The first place Napanee Raiders dropped a 7-3 decision to Gananoque.
Brodie Maracle scored twice as the Raiders lose for just the fourth time in regulation this season.
