A Trenton business is making sure they are giving back to the community.
On Friday morning, Jason Spelmer, president of Spelmer Chrysler Jeep Dodge Sales Limited in Trenton presented a $20,000 cheque to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The funds will be used to purchase a transport defibrillator, which is used in the emergency department sometimes five or six times a day.
Dr. Rans Perera, Chief of TMH Emergency Department says they appreciate the community support.
TMHF Executive Director Wendy Warner says the purchase of the defibrillator will save approximately 2,200 lives this year alone.
Spelmer said the funds for the donation were raised three ways.
This is not the first time Spelmer has made a donation to TMHF but he did say this is their biggest contribution to date.
